Robin Lord Taylor has confirmed his addition to the cast of Netflix’s hit psychological thriller series ‘You’ for its upcoming final season.
The actor, best known for his role as Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin in Fox’s ‘Gotham’, shared the news through an Instagram post featuring a series of behind-the-scenes images from what appears to be the production set.
The Cat’s Out Of The Bag
“Cat’s outta the bag! Thanks to @gberlanti, @seragamble, @pennbadgley, and everyone in the @younetflix family ❤️,” Taylor wrote in his caption, tagging the show’s co-creators Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble, along with lead actor Penn Badgley.
This casting marks another high-profile television role for Taylor, who gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of the Penguin in ‘Gotham’ from 2014 to 2019. His addition to ‘You’ places him in one of Netflix’s most popular psychological thriller series, which stars Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg, a bookstore manager whose romantic obsessions lead to increasingly dangerous behavior. The show has become known for its dark exploration of obsession, social media, and the dangerous extremes of romantic pursuit.
Anticipation Builds For Final Season
The final season of ‘You’ has generated significant buzz among fans eager to see how Joe Goldberg’s story concludes. With Taylor now confirmed as part of the cast, speculation will likely increase about how his character will factor into the show’s final chapter.
The psychological thriller has maintained a strong following throughout its run, with each season exploring new dimensions of Joe’s obsessive personality against different backdrops—from New York bookstores to Los Angeles wellness culture to suburban family life and academic settings.
As production continues on the final season, Taylor joins what has historically been a revolving door of cast members, as the show’s premise typically introduces new potential obsessions and obstacles for Joe in each season.
