Disney+ has officially greenlit a revival of the hit animated series Phineas and Ferb. The news dropped when co-creator and Dr. Doofenshmirtz voice actor Dan Povenmire shared a first-look image on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/DJ7E_PuJC2T/), teasing the long-awaited comeback. Variety reports the new season will blend the show’s signature inventiveness with catchy musical numbers and plenty of laughs.

New Episodes On The Horizon

According to Variety, the revival will roll out later this year exclusively on Disney+. The original voice cast—including Vincent Martella, Ashley Tisdale, Thomas Sangster and Olivia Olson—is slated to return. Fans can expect the same mix of high-energy adventures and original songs that made the series a runaway hit during its 2007–2015 run.

High-profile Guest Voices

A standout feature of the revival is its A-list guest roster. Jon Hamm, Lea Thompson, George Takei, Tony Hale, Sia and Clancy Brown are all set to lend their voices to new characters. Variety’s first look hints at a mix of quirky sidekicks and over-the-top villains, promising surprises for longtime viewers.

Creators Reunited

Behind the scenes, Povenmire has reunited with co-creator Jeff “Swampy” Marsh. Together they developed the original series and will steer this new chapter. On Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/DJ7E_PuJC2T/), Povenmire shared a studio snap of the two animators at work, teasing “the next chapter” of their beloved show.

Disney Night Cameo Sneak Peek

Last April, Povenmire and Marsh popped up on an American Idol Disney Night episode. Their Instagram post (https://www.instagram.com/p/DJkm79jSPMu/) read: “More special guests are joining us on #AmericanIdol tonight for #DisneyNight! Keep your eyes peeled for a special appearance from @phineasandferb’s Dan and Swampy!” Fans who tuned in caught the duo’s animated cameos—an early taste of their collaboration ahead of the full series revival.

With its blend of nostalgia, top-tier guest talent and fresh storytelling, the Phineas and Ferb revival on Disney+ is poised to delight returning fans and win over a new generation of viewers.
