Comedian Kevin Nealon is lacing up his hiking boots once again as he prepares to take viewers on more celebrity trails and conversations with the return of his popular YouTube series. The former Saturday Night Live star announced that Season 5 of “Hiking With Kevin” will premiere Thursday, May 1, featuring a special guest whose identity remains under wraps.

“Season 5 of Hiking With Kevin continues Thursday, May 1 with a very special guest! Why don’t we go take a hike?!” Nealon wrote in his Instagram post, directing fans to his YouTube channel at youtube.com/kevinnealoncomedy.

The Instagram reel features Nealon hiking through a picturesque hillside, speaking directly to the camera in outdoor attire, ready for his signature format that combines celebrity interviews with scenic hikes.

For those unfamiliar with the series, “Hiking With Kevin” features Nealon taking various celebrities on hikes through the scenic trails of Los Angeles while conducting casual, often revealing interviews. The outdoor setting and physical activity create a relaxed atmosphere that usually leads to more candid conversations than traditional studio interviews.

Previous seasons have featured an impressive roster of guests, including Adam Sandler, Conan O’Brien, Lisa Kudrow, Jack Black, Caitlyn Jenner, and Lily Tomlin, among many others. The show has gained popularity for its unscripted nature and the authentic interactions that occur when celebrities are removed from the typical promotional environment.

The announcement comes during a busy period for Nealon, who is also preparing for his new comedy special taping. According to his recent Instagram posts, Nealon will be filming “Loose in the Crotch” on May 10 at the Irvine Improv with showtimes at 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM. The special will feature Kirk Fox as a guest performer.

“I’ll be taping my new comedy special, LOOSE IN THE CROTCH, May 10th at Irvine Improv. Come join the looseness!” Nealon shared in a separate post, encouraging fans to get tickets through his website.

In addition to his upcoming comedy special and YouTube series, Nealon has been touring with his “I Exaggerate Tour,” which recently took him to Naples, Florida, and Buffalo, New York. The tour supports his book “I Exaggerate: My Brushes with Fame,” which showcases his caricature artwork of celebrities he’s met throughout his career.

Nealon, now 70, rose to fame as a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1986 to 1995, where he was known for characters like Mr. Subliminal and Franz (of Hans and Franz) and for his long-running stint as anchor of Weekend Update. After SNL, Nealon has maintained a steady presence in film and television, with notable roles in shows like “Weeds,” where he played Doug Wilson for eight seasons, and in Adam Sandler films including “Happy Gilmore” and “The Wedding Singer.” He’s also appeared in the CBS sitcom “Man with a Plan” alongside Matt LeBlanc.

As fans await the premiere of Season 5 of “Hiking With Kevin,” they can keep up with Nealon’s other projects through his website and social media accounts.
