Ashley Eckstein, the original voice behind Star Wars fan-favorite character Ahsoka Tano, has announced her return to the role for an upcoming LEGO Star Wars animated project.

The actress took to Instagram to share the exciting news with fans, revealing she will reprise her iconic role in “LEGO Star Wars Rebuild The Galaxy, Pieces of the Past,” which premieres September 19th on Disney+.

A Long-standing Legacy With The Character

Eckstein has been the definitive voice of Ahsoka Tano since the character’s debut in the animated film “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and subsequent television series. Eckstein was born on September 22, 1981, in Louisville, Kentucky, and began her acting career with roles in shows like “That’s So Raven” before landing the voice role that would define much of her career.

Beyond her voice acting work, Eckstein has established herself as an entrepreneur and advocate. She founded Her Universe, a fashion and lifestyle brand creating apparel and accessories for female sci-fi fans. Just this March, she announced a new Star Wars collection that launched at Disneyland, further cementing her place in the Star Wars merchandise world.

Lego Star Wars: A New Chapter

This upcoming LEGO Star Wars project marks another chapter in the continued expansion of Star Wars storytelling. LEGO Star Wars productions are known for their family-friendly approach and humorous take on the Star Wars universe, often reimagining key moments from the franchise with a playful twist.

The LEGO Star Wars franchise has produced several successful animated specials and series over the years, including “The Freemaker Adventures” and various holiday specials like “The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special.”

The Enduring Popularity Of Ahsoka Tano

Ahsoka Tano has grown from a supporting character in “The Clone Wars” to one of the most beloved figures in the Star Wars universe. Her character journey from Padawan to independent Force user has resonated with fans, leading to her appearing in multiple Star Wars series including “Star Wars Rebels” and most recently getting her own live-action series on Disney+ (where she is portrayed by Rosario Dawson).

For many fans, Eckstein’s voice remains synonymous with the character, making her return to the role in this LEGO project particularly meaningful for the Star Wars community.

With the LEGO Star Wars Rebuild The Galaxy series premiering this September, fans won’t have to wait long to hear Eckstein bring Ahsoka to life once again in this new, brick-built adventure.
