Y We Sing Camp Kicks Off June 23–27
Y We Sing, the newly rebranded successor to Remix Vocal Academy, opens its doors June 23–27 for singers ages 14–18. Over five days of intensive coaching, campers will dive deep into technique, stagecraft, and ensemble performance, culminating in a live concert for family and friends.
Industry Mentors From Byu Vocal Point And Noteworthy
One of the camp’s biggest draws is its faculty. Members of BYU Vocal Point—Brigham Young University’s award-winning all-male a cappella group—will lead vocal health and harmony sessions. Alongside them, current performers from Noteworthy, the university’s premier women’s ensemble, will teach workshops on blending, arrangement, and solo stage presence. As highlighted in a recent Instagram announcement by @byuvocalpoint, several instructors fondly recall attending the former Remix camp during their own high school years, and now look forward to mentoring the next generation.

Camp Schedule And Highlights
Daily programming runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. After a morning warm-up covering breath support, diction, and sight-singing, campers choose electives ranging from microphone technique to arranging for small groups. Afternoons feature sectional rehearsals and masterclasses led by industry professionals. Each evening wraps up with group performances and coach feedback, giving participants immediate direction on their progress.
On the final day, June 27, Y We Sing hosts a gala finale concert on campus. Teens will perform ensemble numbers alongside their mentors, with featured solo spots backed by a live rhythm section. The concert is open to the public and designed to showcase the skills each camper has developed over the week.
A Legacy Of A Cappella Excellence
BYU Vocal Point began in 1991 and has since become a major presence in collegiate a cappella. The group won the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella in 2006 and has released multiple studio albums while touring nationally and internationally. Noteworthy, founded in 2006, has earned acclaim for its dynamic arrangements and has appeared on televised competitions. Many current members of both ensembles credit their own growth to early experiences at the camp formerly known as Remix Vocal Academy.
By combining teenage passion with collegiate professionalism, Y We Sing builds on that legacy—offering a roadmap from first rehearsal to polished performance.
How To Apply
Auditions are open now via an online submission process. Prospective campers must record a one-minute solo performance and submit a brief bio. According to the camp caption, “If you or anyone you know would wish to audition, the link to sign up is in our bio!” Spots are kept intentionally small to maintain high coach-to-student ratios, so early applications are encouraged. Registration closes two weeks before camp begins, or once capacity is reached.
Camp director Sarah Jensen notes, “Our goal is to foster both technical growth and self-confidence. By the end of the week, campers know how to care for their voices and command a stage.” Parents and guardians can find full details on schedules, fees, and lodging options on the official Y We Sing website.
Whether teens aspire to solo careers, ensemble roles, or simply want to sharpen their singing skills for school and church choirs, Y We Sing offers an immersive environment packed with expert instruction and performance opportunities. With guidance from top collegiate a cappella stars and a built-in audience for the final showcase, campers gain real-world experience that can set the foundation for future musical endeavors.
Secure your spot now for the June 23–27 session and get ready to raise your voice to the next level.
