Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver axeman Slash recently turned the spotlight from his signature Les Paul to a dazzling piece of fan-made art. On June 3, the rock legend reposted an image from @neptunianglitterball with the simple caption “repost from @neptunianglitterball iiii]; )’” on his official Instagram feed. With more than 8 million followers, Slash’s share instantly brought fresh attention to the creator’s cosmic design.

Fan Art Goes Galactic

The image depicts a handcrafted “Neptunian Glitterball”—a spherical art piece that blends deep-sea blues, violet accents and flecks of silver to evoke the icy clouds of Neptune. Unlike a standard paper print, the glitterball appears textural, with layered pigments that catch studio lights from every angle. Slash’s repost didn’t include additional commentary, but the guitarist’s audience quickly flooded the comments praising both the art and Slash’s ongoing practice of elevating fan creations.

Slash’s Latin America Tour

Alongside fan art, Slash has been keeping his followers updated on his upcoming live dates. In a separate Instagram announcement, the musician revealed 13 new Latin American shows. Kicking off June 9 in Bogotá at 10 am local ticket sale time, the tour then moves through Medellín, Florianópolis, São Paulo, Curitiba, Brasília and Lima. Cuiabá tickets drop at 9 am the same day, followed by Santiago on June 10 at 11 am, Mexico City at 2 pm, San Salvador on June 11 at 10 am and wrapping up with a Buenos Aires date on June 20 at 10 am. Fans can secure seats by visiting the official Slash tour page or through venue ticketing platforms.

Slash’s affinity for sharing his tour news and fan art underscores how he bridges the gap between stadium rock and social media culture. Whether he’s spotlighting a cosmic glitter installation or reminding fans of an upcoming show, his Instagram feed has become a go-to hub for both art enthusiasts and concertgoers.

Slash—born Saul Hudson on July 23, 1965—rose to fame in the late 1980s as lead guitarist for Guns N’ Roses, contributing iconic riffs to “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “Paradise City” and “November Rain.” After co-founding Velvet Revolver in 2002 and launching several solo albums, he’s toured relentlessly and collaborated with artists from Michael Jackson to Alice Cooper. His top hat, sunburst Les Paul and curly mane have become instantly recognizable hallmarks of modern rock.

With this latest repost, Slash continues to champion fan creativity while gearing up for another round of international performances. As guitar aficionados around the world await his next riff, the Neptunian glitterball is proof that in Slash’s universe, art and music orbit the same galaxy.
