Radio Run
Public Enemy frontman Chuck D took to Instagram this week to share behind-the-scenes snaps from his appearance on Off Air With Big Boy. In a series of three images, the hip-hop pioneer is seen settling behind the mic alongside LA radio heavyweight Big Boy, wearing a signature Public Enemy cap and flashing the peace sign for listeners tuning in.
Off Air With Big Boy airs weekdays on Real 92.3 in Los Angeles and features candid conversations with music’s biggest names. Chuck D’s visit marks his latest stop on a promotional tour ahead of his new project, giving fans an unfiltered look at the man behind timeless anthems like “Fight the Power.”
Promoting Radio Armageddon
This radio sit-down isn’t Chuck D’s only recent appearance. Last month he announced on Instagram that his album #RadioArmageddon—also billed as Enemy Radio—is now available across streaming platforms.

Legendary Legacy
Born Carlton Douglas Ridenhour on August 1, 1960, Chuck D co-founded Public Enemy in 1986 and has long been heralded for blending seismic beats with social commentary. Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside his group in 2013, he continues to push boundaries—most recently reflecting on how digital trends shape listening habits in an era “when everybody’s addicted to their screens.”
From the streets of Long Island to global stages, Chuck D remains a guiding voice in hip-hop, and this week’s Off Air appearance reinforces his status as both a cultural barometer and a master of the mic.
Whether you caught the live broadcast or tuned in afterward, one thing’s clear: Chuck D’s radio revolution is only just beginning.
