Brooklyn indie outfit Beach Fossils is extending its community beyond the stage with the launch of an official Discord server. In a recent Instagram post (https://www.instagram.com/p/DJ9sPcat9jV/), the band invited fans to “come hang out, make friends, ask us questions, share your music. we love to nerd out on gear, no gatekeeping!” They also teased regular behind-the-scenes updates from the studio and on tour, capped off by a contest where one lucky member can win free tickets to any of their US fall shows.
Early Q&a And Tour Teaser
Beach Fossils first hinted at a Discord debut in an earlier Instagram announcement (https://www.instagram.com/p/DJovV3Ity1N/), where they rolled out their north america fall tour plans and scheduled an exclusive Q&A inside the server on May 16. That initial post not only offered a password-protected presale for upcoming dates but gave fans a taste of how the Discord community could bridge direct interaction with the band.
What’s Inside The New Server
Inside the Discord, members can join dedicated channels for gear discussions, share their own tracks, and participate in tech-focused polls. The band promises zero gatekeeping on equipment talk, inviting both amateurs and seasoned audio nerds. Additional channels cover song requests, photo galleries from past gigs, and a dedicated updates feed. Admins will post studio sessions, demo snippets, and tour dispatches so fans get a first look at new songs in the making.
Win Tickets To Fall Shows
To celebrate the launch, Beach Fossils is running a sweepstakes open to anyone who joins the Discord before June 2. One winner will be selected to receive two free tickets to any US show on their fall run—covering venues from Los Angeles to New York. Entry requires no purchase: simply join the server via the link in their bio and remain a member through the drawing date. Winners will be notified in-server and via direct message on June 2nd.
Meet The Band Members
Formed in 2008 by frontman Dustin Payseur, Beach Fossils has seen several lineup changes over the years. Current members include:
• Dustin Payseur – vocals, guitar
• Tommy Davidson – bass
• Jack Doyle Smith – guitar, backing vocals
• Anton Hochheim – drums
• Zachary Cole Smith – keyboards (occasional touring member)
Each brings a distinct flair to the band’s dreamy, reverb-laden indie rock, and fans can now chat directly with them in dedicated voice and text channels.
Band Journey And Studio Updates
Beach Fossils released their self-titled debut in 2010 and followed up with Clash The Truth (2013), Somersault (2017) and The Other Side of Life (2023). Known for catchy hooks wrapped in lo-fi washes, they’ve built a loyal following via persistent touring and digital engagement. In their Discord feed, Payseur has already teased studio progress on new tracks, hinting at further evolution of their sound. With the server serving as a creative hub, fans may even hear preview snippets long before any formal announcement.
Fans can jump into the conversation, catch early demos, and connect with other Beach Fossils enthusiasts in one central spot. The mix of gear talk, music sharing and ticket giveaways makes the new Discord a must for anyone who’s ever lost themselves in the band’s shimmering guitar lines.
Whether you’re a back-to-back showgoer or a bedroom listener, Beach Fossils’ Discord offers a front-row seat to the band’s next chapter—all it takes is a click on the invite link.
