Absc #9 Goes Live Tomorrow

Detroit hip-hop producer Apollo Brown announced via Instagram that ABSC #9 will stream tomorrow at Noon EST exclusively on his Patreon. In the post he wrote: “🚨…ABSC#9 goes live tomorrow at Noon EST on my Patreon! 🔗Link in Bio, if you want to be a part of this amazing community. We challenge, but there’s definitely more than that. We meet up, we showcase, we learn from each other. There’s perks, inspiration, & motivation. Yes, it’s producer-centric, but there’s emcees alike. Come check it out for yourself. 🚀🥁” Fans can sign up now to catch the live beat-making, showcases and feedback sessions.

Inside The Patreon Community

Since launching his Patreon in 2022, the Detroit-based beatmaker has turned it into a virtual studio hub where aspiring producers and lyricists connect weekly. Beyond ABSC broadcasts, he hosts “Chop Talk Sundays,” informal three-hour hangouts that blend beat showcases, live critiques and Q&A. As Brown explained in an earlier Instagram post (https://www.instagram.com/p/DJH2LM7vk2p/):

“For those that aren’t familiar, Chop Talk Sundays are a way for us to connect, as if we were all friends, together in my studio chillin’. We talk Hip Hop & life; showcase beats & critique if requested; share advice, opinions & ideas; provide inspiration & encouragement; and just chop it up!”

Membership tiers on his Patreon unlock perks such as exclusive sample packs, priority beat reviews and occasional guest appearances from emcees who step in to spit over new instrumentals live.

Producer’s Recent Projects

Outside of his livestream series, Apollo Brown has been steadily releasing sample-based projects and collaborations. Earlier this year he dropped the highly praised “DITC Vols 1-3” drum kits exclusively on The Drum Broker, touting “no gimmicks, just good drums you’ll use for a lifetime.” His discography includes instrumental albums like “The Reset” (2010), the genre-blending “LULU” (2012) with O.C., and the gritty “Bitter Brew” (2018) with Planet Asia.

Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980 and now rooted in Detroit’s beat scene, Brown is celebrated for his lo-fi soul samples and hard-hitting drums. He co-founded Mello Music Group in 2007 and has collaborated with artists ranging from Skyzoo to Guilty Simpson, earning acclaim for keeping classic boom-bap alive.

How To Tune In

ABSC sessions are held live on Patreon, with Brown sharing a link in his Instagram bio ahead of each stream. Tomorrow’s #9 session kicks off at 12 PM EST; new members can subscribe now to join in real time. Whether you’re a seasoned beatmaker seeking fresh inspiration or an emcee looking to spit atop unreleased instrumentals, this free-flow format offers a rare opportunity to network directly with one of Detroit’s most respected producers.

With each installment, Brown challenges participants to refine their craft while fostering a supportive creative community. ABSC #9 promises new beats, real-time feedback and tips that have helped launch independent careers.

As the countdown to tomorrow’s session continues, both longtime supporters and first-time attendees are gearing up for another deep dive into the art and culture of hip-hop production.
