Multi-platinum vocalist Josh Groban gave fans an adorable glimpse into his home life on Wednesday, sharing a playful moment between his two rescue dogs who seem more interested in his promotional materials than the upcoming event they’re advertising.
Furry Friends Take Center Stage
In a heartwarming Instagram post, Groban captured his dogs Stevie and George enthusiastically fighting over TalkShopLive promotional inserts ahead of his scheduled appearance on the platform. The video shows the two pups playfully tussling with the promotional materials, clearly more concerned with their impromptu tug-of-war than their owner’s upcoming livestream event.
“Stevie and George can’t stop fighting over these @talkshoplive inserts! Tune in later today to get yours before they eat them ALL! One lucky buyer will get puppy tooth marks,” Groban humorously captioned the post, adding a paw print emoji for good measure.
The images show the dogs engaged in their spirited battle over what appears to be promotional cards or inserts for Groban’s TalkShopLive session, with the artist playfully suggesting that at least one fan might receive their purchase complete with puppy bite marks as an unexpected souvenir.
Promoting ‘gems’ With Canine Assistance
This playful post comes just days after Groban announced his TalkShopLive appearance would feature signed copies of his latest album, “Gems.” In a previous Instagram post, the singer invited fans to “Tune in to @talkshoplive for a chance to get an autographed copy of Gems tomorrow, 4:15pm PT / 7:15pm ET.”
The award-winning vocalist has been actively promoting his new album across various platforms. Just recently, he performed his uplifting new single “Be Alright” on American Idol, which received significant praise from viewers and was subsequently highlighted on the show’s official Instagram account as a “beautiful #AmericanIdol moment.”
During an interview with Ryan Seacrest about his American Idol mentoring experience and “Gems,” Seacrest suggested that “Be Alright” would make a great song for a Disney film, highlighting the track’s inspirational quality.
Meet Stevie: The Newest Groban Family Member
Stevie, one of the canine stars of Groban’s recent post, is the newer addition to his family. The singer recently introduced her to his followers with a dedicated post, writing, “Our girl, Stevie. Stevie’s favorite things are her big brother George and eating (in no particular order). She is a little ray of sunshine and a love bug to all.”
Groban shared that Stevie was rescued by A Purposeful Rescue (@apurposefulrescue) before finding her “forever home” with him. The post included adorable photos of the pup, showing her playful personality that’s now on full display in his TalkShopLive promotional video.
Beyond The Music: Groban’s Philanthropic Efforts
When not recording chart-topping albums or having his promotional materials commandeered by his dogs, Groban focuses considerable energy on his Find Your Light Foundation. The organization recently announced $1.25 million in grant funding to 189 organizations across 33 states, supporting arts education for approximately 300,000 students.
“We know that arts education is a critical investment in the development of every child,” Groban wrote when announcing the grants. “Yet, the current inequity in access to arts education denies young people across the country these crucial benefits.”
Groban, who rose to international prominence in the early 2000s with his powerful vocals and crossover appeal spanning classical, pop, and musical theater genres, has sold over 25 million records worldwide. His unique blend of classical and contemporary styles has earned him numerous Grammy and Billboard Music Award nominations throughout his career.
As fans tune in to TalkShopLive for signed copies of “Gems” – potentially complete with puppy tooth marks – they’re getting more than just music; they’re getting a glimpse into the personal life of an artist whose warmth and humor extend beyond his performances to his everyday interactions with his beloved rescue dogs.
