On Wednesday, the pop trio behind late-’90s hit “Summer Girls” shared a simple Instagram post that set fan forums ablaze. Captioned “We can’t wait to get back on the road this summer! 😃 Oh, and we’re adding a new song! Any guesses!? #honorrich #honordevin #lfo,” the update marks the next chapter in LFO’s ongoing tribute tour.

Band Announcement

In the accompanying photo, Brad Fischetti, Dave “Django” Cascese and Wayne Carter stand under cobalt stage lights, smiling as the crowd cheers. The image captures the energy of their recent “Honor the Boys” concerts—a series of shows paying homage to original members Rich Cronin and Devin Lima, who both passed away in the last decade.

Following a sold-out run in Celebration, Florida, LFO’s April shows featured special guests Trevor Penick and Flip Floydie joining the lineup. Their April 26 Instagram post highlighted an “epic version” of the LFO Story, backed by a full orchestra and local musicians.

Looking Back: Honor The Boys Tour

Since 2017, the surviving members have carried on LFO’s legacy with the “Honor the Boys” show. In one backstage snap, Fischetti recalled Devin’s ritualistic deep breath before stepping out for a set’s opening line. Another clip from last month showed Brad and company rehearsing at a drum kit, gearing up for national dates.

That tour has woven archival footage, fan favorites and heartfelt stories into a multimedia experience. As one Instagram caption read: “We honored the boys in a big way. The LFO Story show last week was beautiful and epic. Thank you for the love and support.”

Lfo Origins And Impact

Formed in 1995 in Baltimore, LFO originally comprised Cronin, Lima and Fischetti. They broke through with 1999’s Top 10 single “Summer Girls,” followed by hits like “Girl on TV.” Cronin’s playful lyrics—“New Kids on the Block had a bunch of hits, Chinese food makes me sick”—became emblematic of turn-of-the-millennium pop culture.

After Cronin’s 2010 passing, the band officially disbanded, only to regroup in 2017 as a tribute act. Lima joined at the outset of their comeback tour, before his untimely death in 2018. Since then, Fischetti has spearheaded shows with Brad joined by rotating guest vocalists.

Fan Buzz About The New Track

Social media lit up as soon as the summer teaser dropped. On LFO’s fan page, guesses range from an unreleased 2001 demo to a modern collaboration with an ’80s cover twist. Comments include, “Please be the original B-side I’ve wanted forever!” and “Could we finally get a live version of ‘Every Other Time’?”

Industry observers note that nostalgia tours often sprinkle in fresh material to keep setlists from growing stale. Adding a previously unheard track could bridge the gap between longtime fans and younger audiences discovering LFO online.

What’s Next For Lfo

While exact dates haven’t been announced, the post hints at a coast-to-coast itinerary. Tickets for past runs sold quickly through LFO.me/tix, and insiders say this summer leg aims to hit both midsize clubs and select theaters.

The band has invited followers to share song guesses in the comments, promising a reveal “soon.” With a legacy built on catchy hooks and quirky wordplay, LFO’s new addition promises to become the next fan favorite.

As the season heats up, LFO’s return offers both a tribute to departed members and a fresh chapter for the trio on stage. Keep an eye on the band’s social feeds for tour announcements and that long-teased track drop.
