Last night, while cheering on his favorite team, comedian and musician Kyle Mooney spotted “some creative friends” and shared his excitement on Instagram. “They are all very excited about my run starting next week! We had interesting conversations. It was great!” he wrote, before reminding fans that tickets are in his bio.
Tour Schedule Revealed
Mooney’s post included a full list of dates and cities for his first all-music road run. He’ll launch on June 23 in Minneapolis, then hit Chicago (June 24), Cleveland (June 25), Toronto (June 27), Pittsburgh (June 28) and Ann Arbor (June 29). After a brief west-coast swing—Denver (July 30), Dallas (July 31), Austin (August 1)—he wraps in Vancouver on August 16. Along the way, he’ll stop in Boston, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Washington D.C., San Francisco, Portland and Seattle. Fans can secure tickets via the link in his Instagram profile.
From Snl To The Stage
Best known for his eight-year run on Saturday Night Live, Mooney first made waves with the sketch troupe Good Neighbor before co-writing and starring in the cult hit Brigsby Bear. According to his Wikipedia profile, he also directed A24’s upcoming Y2K film. In recent months, Mooney has shifted creative gears into music, releasing The Real Me—an album that blends rock, country, dance and R&B influences. It’s this genre-defying sound that he’s bringing live to audiences across North America.
Music Meets Comedy
In an April Instagram teaser, Mooney posed under the caption “This is me, fully naked. Much like the run,” hinting that fans will get both familiar characters and new songs. He added, “I guess that is the price for being the real me.” The accompanying photos—shot by photographer Sela Shiloni—show Mooney cradling a custom electric guitar, a prop he jokingly asked followers in March whether he should “bring on tour” or if it’s “fake.”
Opening Act Spotlight
Mooney’s long‐time collaborator Carmen Christopher (@carmenyescarmen) will open the first leg of shows. In early June, he posted that Christopher—known for her “Bob from Corporate” character in his live set—will join him onstage, calling her “amazing” and promising more special guests to come.
Pittsburgh Memories
Ahead of his June 28 stop at Spirit Hall in Pittsburgh, Mooney shared a nostalgic flashback to his Little League days. Digging out his old Pirates jersey, he wrote, “Interesting story, I played for the Pirates in Little League (about the same time I got my first electric guitar).” He hinted he might don the uniform at the show, blending childhood memories with his musical debut.
Tickets for Mooney’s 16-city run remain available via his Instagram bio and at KyleMooneyLive.com. From familiar sketch bits to genre-jumping songs, he’s ready to give fans an all-new live experience starting June 23 in Minneapolis.
