San Francisco Bound

Ice-T took to Instagram this week to announce a one-night-only performance in San Francisco. In a post on June 24 he wrote, “It’s poppin off San Francisco! I’m pulling up! 💥 Friday June 27th… With OG @therealmacmall 💎” (https://www.instagram.com/p/DKxrk3_uKh_/). The veteran rapper’s promise has Bay Area fans buzzing—tickets go on sale this Friday.

From Chicago To The Bay

Just days earlier, Ice-T rallied Midwest audiences with another social media shout-out. On June 18 he shared, “🚨ATTENTION🚨 Chicago! I’m coming to your town with my OG @mcschoollyd June 21st You do not wanna miss this.. Your attendance is requested.. 💎 #HipHop” (https://www.instagram.com/p/DKu2GZ0uaPQ/). That June 21 stop marked the latest leg of his summer run, and now he’s shifting coastlines to link up with a West Coast icon.

Og Reunion With Mac Mall

Mac Mall, born Jamal Rocker, emerged from Vallejo’s vibrant rap scene in the early ’90s with his debut album Illegal Business? (1993). Over the decades he’s collaborated with Too Short, Tupac-affiliated producer Mac Dre and more. Ice-T’s nod to Mac Mall as “OG” underscores the peer respect between two generations of California hip-hop. The duo’s San Francisco show promises to blend Ice-T’s East Coast–shaped flow with Mac Mall’s Bay Area sensibility.

Ice-t’s Legacy On Stage And Screen

Tracy Lauren Marrow—better known as Ice-T—helped lay the foundation for gangsta rap with his 1987 debut Rhyme Pays. He’s released over a dozen studio albums, including 1996’s Iceberg – PT. I, and earned acclaim as Detective Fin Tutuola on Law & Order: SVU since 2000. Along the way, Ice-T has remained a dynamic live performer, mixing social commentary with high-energy delivery.

“I’ve been on stages from New York to L.A.,” he told Rolling Stone in 2023, “but there’s a special electricity in the Bay. It’s where the culture moves fast.”

What To Expect June 27

Fans can expect a two-hour set featuring Ice-T’s classic anthems—“New Jack Hustler,” “You Played Yourself”—followed by a guest slot from Mac Mall. The show will take place at The Midway, a 1,800-capacity venue known for its cutting-edge sound system and urban industrial vibe. Doors open at 8 p.m.

Tickets range from $45 to $120 and go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. VIP packages include a merch bundle and early entry.

Keeping It Real On Social

Beyond tour dates, Ice-T’s Instagram timeline features candid reflections. He’s posted “ICE COLD FACT 💎” snapshots, commentary on AI’s role in music, and shout-outs to fans in Boys & Girls Clubs. His posts underscore a simple philosophy: no drama, just the music.

With his June 21 Chicago show in the rearview and San Francisco next up, Ice-T continues to bridge eras—touring with ’80s-era MC Schoolly D one week and Vallejo’s Mac Mall the next. The Bay Area leg brings his cross-country summer series full circle, offering a rare blend of rap history and live concert energy.

Experience a night where two pioneers unite: Ice-T & Mac Mall hit San Francisco Friday, June 27—don’t miss it.
