Rev. Peyton’s Big Damn Band are set to bring their gritty blues-rock energy and new album “Honeysuckle” to European fans this June and July. The trio behind Rev. Peyton (guitar/vocals), Washboard Breezy (percussion/vocals), and Max Senteney (drums) will hit cities from Bensheim to Sheffield, marking their most extensive overseas trek behind their fourth studio release.
Tour Kicks Off In Germany
The band will launch the #justgetmetotheshow tour June 5 at Musiktheater Rex in Bensheim, Germany. From June 6 in Karlsruhe’s Kohi club through slots at the Blues Festival Schöppingen (June 8) and Bergenfest in Norway (June 12), the lineup covers a mix of blues festivals and intimate venues. Highlights include Ribs & Blues in the Netherlands (June 9), a home-state shout-out in Malmö at Annelundsgården (June 16), and a back-to-back festival and club swing with Waldhaus in Heilbronn (June 18) and Pitcher in Düsseldorf (June 19).
Dates then move through the Low Countries and the UK: Nijmegen’s Kids & Billies (June 21), Newcastle’s The Cluny (June 24), Glasgow’s Mono (June 25), Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club (June 26), London’s 100 Club (June 27), Norwich Arts Centre (June 28), and Sheffield’s Greystones (June 29). The run wraps with a Dutch doubleheader at Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival (July 4) and Roots Ribs & Brews in Emmen (July 5).
New Album ‘honeysuckle’ And Media Spotlight
Fans have already welcomed “Honeysuckle,” the band’s latest studio album released in late April. The record blends raw slide guitar riffs with washboard rhythms, capturing the DIY porch-blues spirit that first sparked their following. In an Instagram post, Rev. Peyton wrote, “Just got my own copy of @bigdamnband new album ‘Honeysuckle’; they also have a new single out today! Watch for an upcoming interview on @rockandreviewwithericdahl on @foxnashville in May!”
As a teaser for the European leg, Rev. Peyton and Washboard Breezy will join Eric Dahl on the Rock & Review podcast tomorrow morning to discuss the inspirations behind “Honey$uckle!” and share behind-the-scenes tour stories. The episode will be available on Rock & Review’s social channels and Fox Nashville.
Setlist Sneak Peek At Festivals
Early setlists promise a healthy mix of fan favorites—“Pickle Pie,” “Broke Black Cadillac”—alongside fresh cuts from “Honeysuckle,” such as the title track and “Sticky Situation.” Festival appearances at Blues Festival Schöppingen and Bergenfest are expected to feature extended guitar solos and audience sing-alongs, while club dates at Pitcher (Düsseldorf), Annelundsgården (Malmö), and Mono (Glasgow) will offer a closer view of Rev. Peyton’s signature slide work and Breezy’s inventive washboard patterns.
Band’s Bluegrass-infused Roots
Since forming in 2006 in Brown County, Indiana, Rev. Peyton’s Big Damn Band has championed a hybrid of delta blues, slide guitar, and bluegrass. Their DIY spirit—starting on a front porch stage and building a grassroots following—earned them praise as “the raw, unfiltered sound of vintage rebellion” in a recent Instagram teaser for a Pappy & Harriet’s show. “We’re just three people,” Rev. Peyton told followers, “playing the hell out of these instruments and telling stories that feel like old-time radio.”
Early European fans have already shared their excitement online. At an Exit/In show in Nashville, one attendee called them “one of, if not the, best touring blues acts out there right now” and praised Breezy as “the best washboard player I have ever met.” The post concludes: “Go listen to their new album ‘Honeysuckle,’ it is really something special!”
Maintaining their reputation as road warriors, the band will offer fan meet-and-greet packages at selected venues—photo ops and signed vinyl included. They advise checking official venue sites for ticket availability and caution against unverified resellers.
This European trek follows a successful US spring run and underscores the group’s commitment to connecting directly with audiences. With shows spanning from Germany to the UK and the Netherlands, Rev. Peyton’s Big Damn Band invite fans old and new to experience their unvarnished porch-blues live. After closing at Roots Ribs & Brews on July 5, the trio will return stateside for summer festival dates. Until then, European blues followers have an unmissable chance to catch Americana’s most spirited touring act. #justgetmetotheshow
