Box Office Closure On May 24
The Capitol Theatre, affectionately known as “The Cap,” alerted patrons on Instagram that its Port Chester box office will be closed this Saturday, May 24, for ticket sales. According to the post, fans planning to attend Emo Night at Garcia’s can still purchase tickets when doors open.
About The Capitol Theatre
Opened in 1926 as a movie palace, the Capitol Theatre reinvented itself as one of the East Coast’s premier concert venues after its 2013 reopening. Per its history, it has hosted icons from The Grateful Dead to Bob Dylan, earning a reputation as “The Original Rock Palace.” The venue features a main auditorium with ornate Art Deco details and an intimate 850-capacity courtyard for more casual shows and events.
Emo Night At Garcia’s
The Instagram caption read: “Heads up! 👀 Our Box Office is closed Sat, May 24 for ticket sales. If you’re coming to Garcia’s for Emo Night, you can grab yours when doors open.” Emo Night is a recurring themed dance party spotlighting 2000s emo, pop-punk, and alternative hits. Doors for the evening will swing open at 8 PM, with tickets available at the main entrance only.
Upcoming Shows At The Cap
Fans lining up after May 24 won’t be the last to flock to Port Chester this season. The Cap’s own Instagram recently teased the return of Almost Queen on Friday, June 6, with Philadelphia Freedom: A Tribute to Elton John as the opening act.
