Tonight at Beer City Music Hall in Oklahoma City, soul-blues dynamo Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears fire up the first date of their May/June U.S. tour. Announced via Instagram only days ago, the 16-stop run will carry the Austin-based outfit from the Southern Plains into the Northeast and back, with support from regional venues and festivals along the way.

On The Road: Van Life And Live Streams
In a pre-tour Instagram story, Lewis posted a shot of the band loading gear into a van with the caption “Packing up the van and hittin’ the road once again. Face melting coming to a city near you.” A week earlier, the group streamed a live set on TRCOA’s YouTube channel, teasing new riffs and the high-octane energy fans can expect in person.
Fan Giveaway For Okc Show
Local promoters Ponyboy OKC teamed up with Beer City Music Hall to offer a giveaway for two free tickets to tonight’s opener. Festival Spotlight: Wayne Music Festival
On June 7, the band joins the lineup at the Wayne Music Festival in Pennsylvania. In an Instagram update, Lewis wrote, “Wayne, PA! We’re a few weeks away from @waynemusicfestival.
