Bandits on the Run closed out their long-running residency at The Bowery Electric last week before setting off on a coast-to-coast trek. With a nod to DIY basement shows of the ’90s and a packed house of devoted fans, the indie folk trio marked the end of one era and the start of another.

Nyc Basement Finale Brings Vintage Vibes

Their Instagram recap captured the mood perfectly: “POV you’re at your best friend’s DIY show in their basement in 1995 🖤🎸🔥.” Across dim lighting and tight quarters, the band leaned into that throwback energy, delivering fan favorites and debuting new tunes that hinted at fresh directions ahead.

Alongside photos by Mara Rothman, the images show lead sing-songwriters weaving acoustic interludes with electric flourishes—echoing the raw spirit of a basement jam. The crowd, stacked shoulder-to-shoulder, cheered on each change of tempo and sing-along chorus.

Power Players And Special Guests

Bandits on the Run thanked several key contributors in their post. Bassist Sam D’Agostino and drummer Dan With the Blue joined the duo to “rockify” familiar tracks, bringing extra punch to the residency’s grand finale. Opening the night was dynamic performer Patty PerShayla, whose platform-heeled, one-legged stage strut set the tone for a high-voltage start.

According to the band’s caption, photographer Mara Rothman was behind the lens, preserving every moment of the show. In their words: “We were *blessed* to be joined by bass extraordinaire Sam D’Agostino and darling drummerboi Dan With the Blue… Huge thanks to our epic opener Patty PerShayla for setting the stage ablaze ❤️‍🔥.”

Bandits on the Run encourage fans to catch as many free shows as possible—they’ve marked the Levitt Foundation dates and a Seattle community gig with an asterisk in their schedule.

With summer dates spanning from Midwestern festivals to coastal house concerts, the trio promises a mix of intimate acoustic sets and full-band arrangements, reflecting the same energy that powered their Bowery Electric residency.

Whether you caught the closing basement vibe in NYC or plan to join the caravan on the road, Bandits on the Run’s transitional moment signals both an end and a fresh beginning. Their farewell shout-out at The Bowery Electric captures the band’s gratitude and excitement: “We’ll be allllll over the place this summer! Come see us? 😘.”
