Fanny here to tell you that my dad is having a listening party for his new album ‘Possession’ tomorrow 5/22 from 5pm-8pm @arroyo_records. Come say hello and buy a copy a week before it officially comes out!” she wrote, teasing fans with the promise of early access—and even slipping in a riddle: “Why did the cowboy want a dachshund?”

Ty Garrett Segall, born October 8, 1987, has built a prolific career since his self-titled debut in 2008, earning acclaim for raw, lo-fi garage-rock sounds and genre-hopping experiments. Over the past decade he’s released more than a dozen studio albums and teamed up with collaborators like Charles Moothart and Mikal Cronin. His latest single, also titled “Possession,” arrived earlier this month, featuring lyrics by Yokabot and horn arrangements from Cronin.
