Harp Duos Unite For Ice Storm
Camille and Kennerly Kitt, the identical twin harp virtuosos behind the Harp Twins brand, have partnered with their fellow siblings, the Volfgang Twins, to create ICE STORM—their first all-original collaborative album.
Packaging Marathon Hits Day 3
“Happy Thursday! It’s Day 3 packaging 866 ICE STORM Kickstarter pre-order bundles with @volfgangtwins! 25% shipped and climbing! 💪🏻💪🏻” reads the latest Instagram update from @camillekennerly. Filmed in their Minneapolis studio, the four harpists worked through Day 3 of the campaign to get backer rewards ready. With the campaign funding goal met within 72 hours, the team now has nearly 900 bundles to pack and ship worldwide.
On Day 2, the Harp Twins set a cozy scene: “Who else loves chilly rainy Spring days? For us, that means cozy sweatshirts, candles, and hot coffee! 📖☕📖☕” Fans responded with photos of their own hygge setups while waiting for their copies.
Inside The Ice Storm Bundles
A prior post enthused, “ICE STORM albums have arrived!! We are beyond excited to get these 4-panel digipaks with 6-panel lyric booklets into your hands! 15 tracks of Nordic-inspired music—10 original songs and 5 viral covers!” Each backer receives:
– Autographed 4-panel digipak showcasing ice-blue artwork and snowflake motifs
– 6-panel lyric booklet featuring original illustrations and liner notes
– Exclusive enamel pin and full-color poster
– Optional hoodie or T-shirt printed with the album logo
– Collectible stickers, pins, and signed personalized messages for select tiers
The Arctic-inspired design reflects the album’s musical themes, which blend classical harp techniques with folk rhythms drawn from Scandinavian traditions.
Kickstarter Journey And Fan Reactions
Since launching in early March, the Kickstarter campaign has drawn over 200 new backers. Comment sections are filled with messages of support: “This is the project of the year!” “I can’t wait to hear the originals live.” As orders poured in, Camille and Kennerly livestreamed packaging sessions on Instagram, answering questions about the recording process and sharing behind-the-scenes anecdotes.
Crafting Ice Storm: A Musical Blizzard
Both duos recorded their parts in separate home studios before converging for final mixing. “We wanted to capture the stark beauty of winter landscapes,” says Kennerly Kitt in a voiceover clip. “Tracks like ‘Frostbound’ and ‘Glacial Drift’ emerged from late-night improvisations.” Meanwhile, the Volfgang Twins handled production arrangements, giving each piece layers of interwoven harp voices and subtle percussive elements.
Digital Release And Pre-save Surge
On February 28, the Harp Twins announced, “Exciting news! ICE STORM—the first ever Harp Twins + Volfgang Twins original collaboration album—is now available for pre-save on Spotify! Digital release date: Saturday, May 24, 2025. You can also pre-order autographed physical copies! 🔗 in bio.” Pre-save numbers climbed steadily as classical and crossover fans shared the link.
What’s Next After Fulfillment
With about a quarter of the 866 pledges already fulfilled, the shipping process is on track to finish by early April. After shipping wraps up, the quartet embarks on a brief spring tour. Confirmed dates include Fairhope, Alabama, at the Queensland Faire June 14–15, followed by festival appearances in the Midwest. Each performance will feature selections from ICE STORM alongside the Harp Twins’ celebrated covers of rock and pop songs.
Building On Past Successes
In 2023, the Harp Twins released CELTIC CHARMS, a dark fantasy album tied to a novel by New York Times bestselling author Debbie Viguié. The project received critical praise and broadened their fan base in fantasy and gaming circles. ICE STORM marks their first independent music-only collaboration, focusing purely on instrumental storytelling.
Fans can track real-time updates and unboxing stories via the @camillekennerly Instagram handle as the Harp Twins and Volfgang Twins near the end of their Kickstarter packaging marathon. The outpouring of support underscores ICE STORM’s status as one of this year’s most anticipated classical crossover releases.
