Vox Rocket Studio has shared exciting news regarding the independent feature film project, “Spades” starring Johnny Yong Bosch. They announced that the movie has nearly completed its VFX post-production phase, marking a significant milestone toward the film’s completion.
The post revealed that the project is in its final stages of post-production. “We’re thrilled to share that our VFX post-production is nearly complete—with just a few final tweaks left and we’re moving closer to fully wrapping our feature film, Spades,” he wrote. The post featured what appears to be a film still showing a dramatic scene against a dark background, suggesting the film’s visual tone.
The studio highlighted the challenges faced by the small independent team, while expressing confidence in the final product. “As a small independent team, we’ve poured everything we have into this project, and we truly believe the final result will stand alongside films with far larger budgets.” They attributed this achievement to “the passion and talent of our incredible cast and crew.”
Beyond his entertainment career, Bosch has maintained connections to his heritage. In a recent post, he shared his attendance at Korean Heritage Night at Dodger Stadium, highlighting his Korean-American background. This cultural connection resonates with many fans who have followed his career since his Power Rangers days.
While no official release date for “Spades” was mentioned in the announcement, the near completion of VFX work suggests the film could be entering final stages before distribution. Independent films typically follow festival circuits or seek distribution deals following completion.
As Bosch continues to juggle convention appearances, voice acting work, and now filmmaking, his diverse career shows no signs of slowing down. Fans of his work across multiple media will undoubtedly be watching closely for further updates on when and where they can experience “Spades” once it officially releases.
