Kid Cudi has officially announced his latest creative venture—a new short film titled “NEVERLAND” produced by Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, set to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 7th.
The rapper and actor shared the exciting news on Instagram, revealing that the project is directed by acclaimed horror filmmaker Ti West and written by West and Cudi himself.
“Well well well, looks like the news is out!” Cudi wrote in his enthusiastic announcement. “My new short film NEVERLAND, produced by Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, directed by Ti West and written by Ti and myself, debuts at Tribeca Film Fest June 7th!! I am so damn excited for u all to see what we cooked up for u.”
A Passion Project Years In The Making
The Grammy-winning artist described NEVERLAND as a “huge passion project” that offers something different from his previous work. “It’s different and something u haven’t seen before,” he teased, adding with confidence, “Not fuckin around this time.”
In the Instagram post, Cudi shared promotional images for the project, which appears to feature actress Karina Fontes, who was tagged in the announcement along with Jordan Peele and Monkeypaw Productions.
Double Meaning: Film And First Single
