Vanessa Ray’s Buenos Aires Carousel Flunks Niceness
Unexpected detours rule the day as the star tours eight spots with bumpy, candid snapshots

Vanessa Ray is swapping her on-screen badge for a tourist’s backpack in a new Instagram carousel that’s equal parts wanderlust and whoopsie. The Blue Bloods star—also recently seen at the Apple TV+ premiere of Your Friends and Neighbors—set out to share a “nice” roundup of her Buenos Aires getaway, only to unearth an eight-slide saga full of colorful walls, sizzling steaks and, yes, tango gum chewing.
Starry-eyed Travel Plans Meet Real-life Detours
Ray kicked things off with a wink to a 2016 snapshot: a girl gazing off against a rainbow-painted wall. “We all have this photo from 2016: colorful wall. Girl looking off to the side,” she wrote, admitting she let that lone image “guide me this whole trip.” From there, the carousel jumps to Recoleta Cemetery’s hauntingly beautiful mausoleums, then to El Preferido de Palermo for some fries (and possibly more).
Slide four brings a pilgrimage to Boca Juniors’ museum and stadium, complete with soccer-ball emojis. Next up: San Telmo Market, where Ray honed in on prime cuts of Argentine beef. Zanjón de Granados transported her back in time amid restored 19th-century homes and impromptu tango sets. The seventh frame scorches with a visit to Fogón, famous for flames and asado. Finally, she attempted to channel a Banana Republic catalog shot on horseback at La Bamba de Areco Ranch.
Curated Tours With A Twist
Every image was “#Curated by @czerlonka,” Ray reminded followers—an experience she says is “the most fun you’ll ever have. Period.” For $1,500, you can DM “Vanessa” to @czerlonka and recreate your own Argentinian odyssey. Expect a blend of Instagram-ready stops and the occasional hiccup (more on that next).
Tango Gum-chewing—unprofessional, She Admits
In a self-aware sign-off, Ray apologized “to my dancer first friends and choreographers for the tango gum chewing. Unprofessional. I KNOW. Won’t happen again.” The confession came with tongue-in-cheek emojis—proof that even a seasoned actress can’t resist a cheeky souvenir (or two) on the dance floor.
What’s Next For Ray?
Between her Buenos Aires dispatches and the buzz around her debut Apple TV+ feature Your Friends and Neighbors, Ray is balancing red carpets with red meat. In early September, she toasted to the Apple TV+ premiere alongside co-stars Aimee Carrero and newcomer Skurtz Uba. Now she’s back on set for Blue Bloods season shoots in New York.
Her Buenos Aires carousel may have strayed from the “nice” lane, but it’s captured the authentic ups and downs of travel—proof that even the smoothest plans can hit a speed bump or two. Whether Ray’s next post features Parisian pastries or Tokyo street stalls, fans know one thing: she’ll keep it real (and probably gum-chewing) all the way.
