Stana Katic is keeping her fitness momentum going strong as she marks the fourth day of her #AFitterFunnerMe challenge with a workout that requires little to no equipment, courtesy of professional trainer Jordan Feramisco.
Celebrity Trainer Collaboration
The former “Castle” star took to Instagram to share her progress and offer followers an accessible strength training routine. “#DayFourDone!!! How did it go, gorgeous people?” Katic wrote enthusiastically to her community of fitness enthusiasts who have been joining her on this journey.
In her post, Katic introduced Feramisco as “an awesome trainer who has worked with some of the wildest people (& brought many back to their fittest, funnest selves).” She encouraged her followers to check out his work by following him at @jordanfperform, describing him as “one of the good ones.”
The workout shared in the post is specifically designed for beginners looking to get into strength training with minimal equipment. The routine can be modified for different fitness levels by adjusting repetitions, duration (30 seconds to 1 minute per exercise), or adding weights for increased resistance.
Feramisco’s message included in the post emphasizes both challenge and accessibility: “Hey guys, here’s a fun and challenging workout to help you get moving with little to no equipment,” along with a reminder to consult with medical professionals if there are health concerns.
The Four-Week Fitness Challenge
This post is part of Katic’s ongoing fitness initiative that she launched on April 21. Based on her previous Instagram activity, the actress has been documenting her daily fitness journey, calling it #AFitterFunnerMe challenge, which is scheduled to run for four weeks until May 18.
The challenge appears to be a community-building effort where participants commit to daily physical activity and check in on Instagram with their progress. Just a day earlier, Katic posted about her third day of the challenge, where she combined running with strength training, noting that “all the work with weights has made running that much more enjoyable & sustainable.”
Her fitness regimen for the month, as shared in her Day One post, includes “weight training, running, hikes & yoga,” showing her commitment to a well-rounded approach to fitness.
Katic’s Wellness Journey
Katic, known for her role as Detective Kate Beckett in the ABC series “Castle” from 2009 to 2016, has been open about embracing physical fitness not just for physical benefits but also for mental well-being.
In her previous posts about the challenge, she described #AFitterFunnerMe as “our group invitation to dedicate time each day for physical activity that boosts health (both physical & mental).” She emphasized that the initiative is “a way to create community, motivate yourself, and have a bit of fun.”
The actress has been actively engaging with her followers throughout the challenge, asking them to share their own fitness goals and activities. “What’ll be your AFitterFunnerMe activity of choice? Any goals in mind, or are you just going with the flow, enjoying the ride?” she asked in an earlier post.
Beyond Fitness
Beyond her fitness challenge, Katic has been busy professionally. In one of her posts, she mentioned that she’s been “pitching a new project” while still making time for her training sessions with Jordan Feramisco.
The Canadian-American actress, who was born to Serbian parents, has maintained an active career since her departure from “Castle.” She starred in the Amazon Prime Video series “Absentia” for three seasons and has appeared in various film projects.
As the #AFitterFunnerMe challenge continues, Katic remains committed to sharing her fitness journey with fans while encouraging them to join in and create their own sustainable fitness routines, regardless of their equipment or experience level.
The accessible approach to fitness that Katic and Feramisco are promoting aligns with growing trends in home workouts and minimal-equipment fitness routines that gained popularity, particularly during the pandemic when many gyms were closed.
