Oscar-nominated actress Shohreh Aghdashloo has shared a heartfelt tribute to the production team behind Amazon Prime’s fantasy series “The Wheel of Time,” highlighting the collaborative effort that brings her character Elaida to life on screen.
“As Elaida in The Wheel Of Time, I stand on the shoulders of giants,” the Emmy-winning actress wrote, acknowledging the extensive teamwork required to create the show’s visual grandeur.
Her post specifically honored Sharon Gilham’s costume department, crediting them with “weaving Aes Sedai majesty” – referring to the powerful female magic users in the series’ world. She also praised Davina Lamont’s makeup artists and Pilar’s hair team who “sculpt every glance” of her character.
The tribute extends to set designers, visual effects specialists, prop masters, stunt performers, and sound engineers, whom she calls the “unsung heroes” of the production. Her caption concludes with “My heart bows to them,” accompanied by prayer hands and heart emojis.
The carousel of images offers fans a rare look at the production process, showing Aghdashloo in various stages of costume and makeup preparation.
