Shaun Latham’s Yuma Homecoming
Shaun Latham is back in town. In a May 24 Instagram announcement, the multi-hyphenate performer wrote, “Homies in #Yuma, #Arizona. Headlining the @thekressyuma Saturday, May 24th! Let’s call it our 28th annually high school reunion. Ya! lol.” Tickets for the one-night engagement at the Kress Ultra Lounge went on sale this week, and fans can grab theirs via the link in his bio.
Latham has been crisscrossing the Southwest this spring. Recent stops included comedy pop-ups in Tucson and Bakersfield, where he teamed with local chefs for secret brunch events and grilled up laughs alongside live DJs. After this desert city gig, he moves on—but Yuma holds a special place in his travel-and-punchline itinerary.
From Street Chef To Comedy Circuits
Latham first carved out an audience with “20 Dollar Chef” on the BarstoolSports network. For four years, his budget-cooking web series drew more than 3 million views a month while he interviewed celebs and cooked on the cheap. That success led to nationwide tour dates and a spot on Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias’ road show—Fluffy tapped Latham for two national tours after two appearances on Comedy Central’s Stand Up Revolution.
In 2015, OC Weekly named him #2 in its “Top 5 Comics to Watch.” He parlayed that buzz into podcasting gigs, co-hosting The Pat McAfee Show on SiriusXM and launching his own channel-takeover, The Shaun Latham Show. His “Big Homie” podcast sits alongside a recurring color-commentary role on American Cornhole League broadcasts for ESPN and a docu-style series, The Road To Airmail City, following pro cornhole players chasing a $100K prize.
Zooming In On The Kress Ultra Lounge Show
Yuma’s Kress Ultra Lounge is known for its vintage decor, low-key cocktail bar and cabaret-style stage. Latham’s observational humor—ranging from street food anecdotes to live crowd riffs—should feel right at home in the intimate venue. Expect no-holds-barred crowd work, off-the-cuff riffs on everyday life and more than a few surprise kitchen references from this self-described street chef.
Doors open at 8 p.m., and the show kicks off around 8:30 p.m. All tickets purchased for this one-night date remain valid; there is no rain date or second seating. Advance tickets are strongly recommended, as past gigs in regional hubs have sold out quickly. Attendees must be 18 or older.
As he gears up for the Yuma headline spot, Latham’s social feed is buzzing. In a recent post he listed stops in LA, San Diego, Ventura, Salem, Richmond and more—testing new material against propane-smoke taco stands and brewery backlots. If his desert run is any indication, Yuma’s in for a high-energy, gut-busting set.
Whether you know him from viral cooking clips or his fast-and-loud crowd banter, Shaun Latham’s visit to the Kress Ultra Lounge on May 24 promises to be the desert comedy date of the season. Tickets are live now—see you there.
