Raceworz Revving Up Sonoma Rivalries
RaceWorz USA rolled into Sonoma Raceway from June 13–15, drawing a blend of pro drag racers, car enthusiasts and celebrity guests. The three-day event featured bracket racing, burnout contests and a massive vendor midway, all set against Napa County’s rolling hills. On Instagram, the official RaceWorz handle summed it up: “@raceworz in Sonoma was definitely one for the books!!! Miss all of you already, until next time 👊🙏😎💯 #sonoma #goodtimes #heckyea.”

Organizers tapped a lineup of high-profile attendees to boost the festival vibe. Actor Steve Villegas (Marco Guzman on CBS’s SWAT) and influencer Gina Cantu joined Raymond Ochoa and DJ Ziggy Bass in greeting fans at the gates. In the days leading up to Sonoma, an earlier RaceWorz post invited followers to “Come visit us this wknd, we want to meet ya all and say what’s up!!!!” Those hopes paid off as hundreds lined up for autograph sessions and photo-ops.
Noel G Brings Fast & Furious Flair
One standout guest was Noel Gugliemi, best known to filmgoers as Hector in the Fast & Furious franchise. Born July 9, 1969, Gugliemi has built a 20-year career portraying tough, streetwise characters in titles like Training Day and The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Ahead of the weekend, RaceWorz shared a “SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCE” post, announcing “The one and only @actornoelg (Hector) is one of our very special guests at RaceWorz Sonoma! Please show him your love & support! June 13–15, 2025 – Sonoma Raceway. Lock in your tickets now at RaceWorzUSA.com.”
On site, Noel G spent his time trackside, posing for selfies and signing memorabilia. He told local media that combining cars and community is “what it’s all about,” echoing his recurring roles where family and loyalty drive the action. Fans lined up for more than an hour just for a chance to shake hands with the California native.
Fans, Cars And Community
The heart of RaceWorz remains the racing, and Sonoma did not disappoint. Competitors thrashed quarter-mile strips in everything from blown nitrous entries to nostalgic ’60s muscle cars. Amid the exhaust fumes and tire smoke, charity burnouts raised over $5,000 for a local youth automotive program.
Beyond the dragway, families flocked to vendor alleys for custom parts, local food trucks and live DJ sets. Sunday kicked off with a youth car-build demonstration hosted by @raceworz_matt and @raceworz_marsh, who led a hands-on workshop offering young fans a chance to weld, wire and wrap helmets. By midday, the track roared back to life with a Pro Bike vs. Pro Car shootout that had spectators on their feet.
The weekend wrapped with the RaceWorz Awards ceremony, handing out trophies for Best Paint, Loudest Car and Best Celebrity Photo. Noel G picked up the “Fan Favorite” ribbon, while Gina Cantu earned the “Social Star” award for her active livestream coverage.
While engines cooled and trailers rolled out on Sunday afternoon, the buzz lingered online. One attendee summed it up on Twitter: “Sonoma was epic—drag racing, burnouts, celebs, giveaways and a real community feel. Can’t wait for next year!”
RaceWorz officials confirmed dates for Sonoma 2026 will be released later this fall. Until then, fans and racers alike will replay videos of that sun-soaked weekend, where cars, celebrities and camaraderie crossed the finish line together.
In the weeks after the event, Noel Gugliemi returns to Los Angeles to begin production on a new thriller. But for thousands who witnessed him at Sonoma Raceway, he’ll always be the Fast & Furious star who traded sets for the sunset glow of Northern California’s drag strip.
