Nancy Lee Grahn, best known for her long-running role on ABC’s “General Hospital,” is giving fans a glimpse into her Japanese getaway through social media. The veteran actress recently shared a peaceful nighttime image from Kyoto with the simple caption: “Good night from Kyoto. Good morning to you.”

The Instagram post features a serene river scene surrounded by lush greenery and a partly cloudy sky, captured during late evening or nighttime.

A Journey Through Japan

This latest post is part of an ongoing series documenting Grahn’s travels through Japan. Her recent Instagram activity reveals she’s been exploring various regions of the country, including Tokyo and Nikko, before arriving in Kyoto.

Just prior to her Kyoto post, Grahn shared an image with the caption “Seems appropriate,” followed by another showcasing what she described as “Beautiful Bamboo” – likely referring to Kyoto’s famous Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, a popular tourist destination known for its towering bamboo stalks creating natural pathways.

Her culinary adventures haven’t gone undocumented either. In another recent post simply captioned “Delish,” Grahn shared images of Japanese cuisine she’s been enjoying during her trip.

The timing of Grahn’s trip coincided with Easter, as evidenced by her post captioned “Happy Easter from Kyoto.” The holiday post suggests Grahn has been in Japan for at least several days spanning the Easter weekend.

Grahn isn’t traveling alone. Her daughter Kate Grahn has joined her on this Japanese adventure. The mother-daughter duo appears to have started their journey in Tokyo. Grahn posted about visiting what she called “#FishMart #Toyko” with an enthusiastic “Oh hell yes!!” caption, likely referring to the famous Tsukiji or Toyosu fish markets.

She also noted Tokyo’s remarkable cleanliness in another humorous post: “This city is so clean that Kate and I ate our garbage due to no garbage cans in public places. #Toyko.” In a follow-up post, she joked about finding “the one piece of trash in all of Tokyo.”

Acclaimed Career In Television

For those unfamiliar with Grahn, she has established herself as a significant presence in American television over the past four decades. Grahn is particularly recognized for her portrayal of Julia Wainwright on the NBC daytime drama “Santa Barbara” from 1985 to 1993, for which she won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress.

Since 1996, she has been playing the role of Alexis Davis on ABC’s “General Hospital,” one of daytime television’s longest-running soap operas. This role has earned her additional Daytime Emmy Awards, solidifying her status in the soap opera world.

Beyond her acting career, Grahn is known for her outspoken political advocacy and feminist viewpoints, which she regularly shares through her social media platforms.
