Megyn Price’s Gracie Award Triumph
Megyn Price spent an unforgettable evening in Kansas City on May 23, reuniting with her Hallmark Channel co-stars to celebrate their recent Gracie Award win. The Alliance for Women in Media honored programming created by, for, and about women—and Hallmark’s football-infused holiday story was among the winners.
A Night Among ‘beautiful Maniacs’
“Soooooo happy to spend last night with these beautiful maniacs, celebrating our Gracie Award win! Such a joy to bring our little KC football-loving, Hallmark family back together,” Price wrote on Instagram, tagging @allwomeninmedia and @hallmarkchannel. The snapshot shows the ensemble beaming onstage at the Gracie Awards gala in downtown Kansas City.
The Gracie Awards, now in their 47th year, recognize excellence in media by, for, and about women, celebrating both on-air talent and behind-the-scenes creators. Hallmark Channel picked up honors for its holiday movie that blended small-town football spirit with family warmth—an obvious crowd-pleaser for viewers across the country.
Hallmark Family Reunion
Price’s companions onstage included fellow cast members who portrayed coaches, cheerleaders, and devoted fans in the film. Their genuine camaraderie carried over from the set to the award ceremony, where they shared laughs, hugs, and a few impromptu cheers as their names were called.
One of the highlights of the evening? A callback to their Kansas City premiere last December. Price reposted an image of the group decked out in festive glam at the world premiere of their holiday football flick. “Wowza – we did it! Thank you to everyone who propped me up and made me Hallmark-a-riffic for the big Kansas City premiere of #HolidayTouchdown!” she wrote, spotlighting gold and diamond earrings by Brooklyn’s @jackandgstudio.
From Sitcom Star To Hallmark Leading Lady
Before her Hallmark success, Price earned acclaim in sitcoms like Grounded for Life (2001–2005) and Rules of Engagement (2007–2013). A Stanford University alum, she initially studied economics before shifting to acting. Over two decades, she’s built a reputation for relatable characters who balance humor and heart—qualities that shine through in her holiday work.
On receiving the Gracie Award, Price told reporters, “This honor belongs to every woman who brought this story to life—from the writers and producers to our on-screen team. Hallmark has always championed female voices, and tonight that commitment shines brighter than ever.”
Giving Back And Moving Forward
Off-screen, Price is equally active. She and husband David Hunt support several charities, including initiatives for literacy and homelessness. Her Instagram frequently highlights book discussions and community events—most recently a spring gathering to discuss “Our Beautiful Boys” with author Sameer Pandya at Godmothers Books in Summerland.
Looking ahead, Price is already filming another Hallmark original, set to debut this winter. While details remain under wraps, fans expect more warmhearted family tales infused with Price’s signature wit and sincerity.
As the Gracie statuette takes its place among her awards, Price summed up the evening in classic Hallmark style: “So grateful—this family, this city, this moment. Here’s to many more stories that celebrate women’s voices everywhere.”
