Born July 30, 1970, in Springfield, Massachusetts, Kelly AuCoin cut his teeth in theater after earning a BA in drama from the University of Vermont. He later honed his craft with an MFA from Vassar College and furthered his training at London’s Ruskin School of Acting. AuCoin’s early career included off-Broadway productions, but his breakthrough arrived with the portrayal of Young Heir and Pastor Tim in FX’s espionage thriller The Americans (2013–2018). His nuanced performance earned him critical acclaim and set the stage for roles such as Evie in Showtime’s Billions and Detective John Murphy in Barry.
