Kaycyy Unveils ‘saddest Truth’ Hats

Swedish-Kenyan rapper KayCyy has just dropped the official headwear for fans, offering branded caps tied to his upcoming debut album, “Saddest Truth.” In a playful Instagram post over the weekend, the G.O.O.D. Music signee announced “HATS AVAIBLE NOWR :) T UP NOWR SADDESTTRUTH.COM,” linking through to his merchandise site. The announcement follows months of teasers about the April 11, 2025 album release, giving early supporters a chance to hold a piece of the “HIIBRYD” era.

Background On Kaycyy’s Journey

Born Kevin Perez in Nairobi and raised in Stockholm, KayCyy first broke out with self-released freestyles on SoundCloud that racked up millions of streams. After catching the ear of Kanye West—co-writing several tracks on 2021’s Donda—he signed to G.O.O.D. Music and cemented his solo credentials with projects like 2023’s Trapped in the Sun. Late last year, he teased his debut album via an Instagram carousel reading “ALBUM 4/11/25 ‘SADDEST TRUTH’ 12 TRKS ALL PLATFORMS HIIBRYD ERA … PRESAVE IN BIO.” Now he’s adding physical releases to the mix.

Official Merch Drop

Fans browsing saddesttruth.com will find a range of caps printed with the album’s minimalist logo and finished in classic black and white. In the Instagram images, KayCyy models several options against a stark white backdrop, highlighting both embroidered logo details and a subtle tagline on the side panels. In one snap, he adjusts a black snapback, while another shows the underside brim stamped with the word “Truth.” A limited white edition features reflective stitching that appears only under flash.

The hat collection was designed in collaboration with his father, Kenyan visual artist Keng Rong, merging East African motifs and minimalist typography. Prices range from $35 for fitted styles to $45 for adjustable snapbacks. Early fans who bundle a cap with a digital download unlock two unreleased demos from the album sessions.

Beyond the hat release, KayCyy recently appeared on Episode 11 of the “Fits On The Radar” series, performing an “On The Radar” freestyle with Sign Crushes Motorist48 and showcasing his “Bruised” track. Those moments underscore his commitment to blending visual style with new music, making the merch drop an extension of his storytelling.

On his Instagram feed (@kaycyy_pluto), the rapper shares behind-the-scenes looks at photo shoots, early design sketches by his father, and clips from studio sessions in Kisii, Kenya—where parts of “Saddest Truth” took shape. Previous posts also invited fans to vote in a three-song poll to choose the first single of the year, reinforcing a community-driven rollout.

The new caps tie together KayCyy’s musical vision and visual identity, inviting fans to cap off their experience with authentic merchandise. Between freestyles, social media teasers, and now tangible gear, the “Saddest Truth” era is well underway.
