Kate Beckinsale Reunites With Missing Dog After Seven-Hour Search
Emotional relief as the pet is discovered alive, shaken in a cactus near garden sprinklers

A Frantic Nighttime Search
Kate Beckinsale turned to Instagram late Wednesday to share a harrowing tale: her dog, Myf, had vanished for seven hours. The British actress described racing around her property with flashlights alongside close friends, convinced her beloved pet was gone for good.
“@joe_rome, lovely Desiree and @bscan came over with torches and we searched and searched and searched for seven hours,” Beckinsale wrote. Citing house-camera footage at 6 p.m., she added, “Brendan turned into Magnum PI because we had video of her with me outside looking for her…running away like it was a game.”
Trapped Under A Cactus
The star revealed that Myf had squeezed beneath a large, sharp cactus. “I guess the sprinklers came on and she just freaked and froze, scared of getting torn apart by the spines,” Beckinsale explained. Although they called her name over 100 times, the dog remained hidden until friends spotted her terrified and trembling beneath the plant.
“My god you guys she’s alive…I was so sure she was dead. Excuse my tiny eyes in this picture I’m sobbing,” the actress confessed, adding that she couldn’t wait for her daughter to wake up and share the relief.

Flashback To First Plea For Myf
This isn’t the first time Beckinsale has turned to social media for help. In an earlier Instagram plea, she wrote, “Please help me if you’re in the Beverly Hills area and you find my dog Myf in your garden or running along Sunset,” referencing fears that her pet had been lost or harmed.

Gratitude For Her Support Team
Beckinsale reserved special thanks for the friends who rallied at a difficult hour. She saluted her “actual SWAT team of incredible people” and expressed how much their effort meant after an already tough day. “It was really the icing on the cake…I feel so lucky and blessed,” she wrote.
