Machado’s Rise To Broadway
Known to audiences for starring roles in Netflix’s One Day at a Time and USA Network’s Queen of the South, Machado made her Broadway debut in the stage adaptation of the acclaimed 2002 film Real Women Have Curves. With its heartwarming story and vibrant score, the show garnered Tony nods for Best Original Score, Best Book of a Musical, and Machado’s spotlight moment: her first nomination for Best Leading Actress in a Musical.
