Actor Jonathan Roumie, best known for portraying Jesus in the hit series “The Chosen,” recently visited the Church of the 21 Martyrs of Libya in Egypt as part of his work with Coptic Orphans, a charitable organization supporting children in need.

In a moving Instagram post, Coptic Orphans shared images of Roumie being guided through the sacred memorial by a young girl named Mariam, who is one of the children supported by the organization. The post shows Roumie attentively listening as Mariam shares the significance of the church, which commemorates the 21 Coptic Christians who were martyred by ISIS in Libya in 2015.

Coptic Orphans emphasized in their post that children like Mariam serve as “a reminder of the blessings we share—whether as a donor or a sponsor,” encouraging followers to contribute to their cause through a provided donation link.
