Cold Plunging Back Into It

Jason Vest, the comedian and social media personality behind the handle @poopyturdsmcgee, took to Instagram this week with a brutally honest update on his wellness journey. “Cold plunging back into it!” he wrote, sharing two images: one of himself seated in an icy tub wearing swim trunks, and a second giving a determined thumbs-up as he restarts his routine.

Setbacks & Self-reflection

In his caption, Vest revealed that the past couple of months have been rough. Two failed business deals left him in a deep depression, and he fell back into compulsive eating—putting on roughly 20 pounds. “I’m an addict through and through,” he admitted, “and I fell back into compulsive eating… This setback stings, but I’m not done.”

Vest also reminded followers of his earlier achievements. Over two years, he’d dropped more than 120 pounds through diet and exercise—no Ozempic or other medications involved, he stressed, while making clear he doesn’t judge anyone who chooses a different path.

Accountability In Action

Determined to turn things around, Vest announced he’s beginning with a 48-hour fast. “If you’re struggling, I see you!! The first step is admitting you have a problem and taking accountability!! I’m back on my grind,” he wrote, closing the post with a rallying cry for anyone facing similar battles.

His openness has resonated with fans and fellow content creators alike, prompting supportive comments and shared stories of personal ups and downs. Vest’s blend of humor and vulnerability continues to fuel his online following, where he regularly updates audiences on both his comedy projects and his health goals.

Vest’s latest post stands as a reminder that even the most disciplined journeys come with setbacks—and that honest accountability can be a powerful catalyst for change. By diving headfirst back into cold therapy, fasting, and self-reflection, he’s inviting others to join him in reclaiming both physical and mental wellness.
