Miss Kat (@Miss.kattt) and Katie Florence kicked off what they called “The most EPIC week with the most EPIC people 😭😭 #epicuniverse @universalorlando” as they toured Universal Orlando Resort’s upcoming Epic Universe park. Over several Instagram Stories and carousel posts, the pair gave fans a front-row seat to never-before-seen attractions, themed lands and special events that Universal says will debut in summer 2025.
Epic Universe Preview Week
Invited as part of a select group of influencers and media, Miss Kat and Katie Florence spent four days sampling early access to rides, touring concept art exhibits, and dining on exclusive culinary creations. In the opening photo, they’re seen posing in front of a giant illuminated “Epic Universe” sign, each holding a signature coaster glass filled with a colorful slush. A second image captures them mid-scream on a high-speed roller coaster, while a third shows both toasting with popcorn buckets bearing the park logo.
Universal Orlando Resort announced Epic Universe in 2019 as its fourth theme park, promising five all-new lands: a supercharged Celestial Park entryway, a castle-centered Wizarding World expansion, the North American debut of Dark Universe (inspired by Universal Monsters), Super Nintendo World, and a never-before-seen Garden District filled with interactive experiences. The resort confirms a summer 2025 opening, with ticket packages and season passes on sale now.
What’s New At Epic Universe
Behind the scenes, Universal’s creative team guided the preview group through a massive exhibition hall showcasing scale models, storyboards and VR demos of key attractions. Miss Kat highlighted the dark-ride based on classic monster lore, calling it “incredibly immersive, with animatronics you’d swear are alive.” Katie Florence shared a sneak peek of a family-friendly coaster set in a fantasy castle, teasing “magic spells, talking portraits and a drop that feels like flying.”
The pair also sampled specialty snacks: mushroom-shaped churros in the Nintendo zone, a pickled pumpkin flatbread in the new Wizarding district, plus cocktails served in souvenir goblets. According to Universal’s official release, the park will feature over 50 dining outlets and 40 retail locations, many of which will debut unique IP-themed merchandise.
Influencer Impressions
Katie Florence, known for her comedy series “The Kouncil” on Peacock and a longstanding partnership with NBCUniversal, noted on IG Stories that this invitation felt like “coming home.” She’s previously collaborated with Peacock on themed experiences—most recently sharing her overnight “Peacock Overnightmare” stay at Colorado’s Stanley Hotel with Blumhouse Productions.
Miss Kat added that the camaraderie among fellow creators was a highlight: “It wasn’t just about the rides—it was meeting the Disney vets who built Super Nintendo World in Japan, and the team behind The Wizarding World expansions,” she posted. Both tagged Universal Orlando’s official handle and used #EpicUniverse in all updates.
Outside of the thrill rides, the preview included an exclusive after-hours party under illuminated lanterns in Celestial Park, featuring live DJs, themed photo ops and a first-look at the park’s nighttime drone show. Universal confirms this drone display will transform the sky with calibrated lighting, music and projection mapping on the central castle.
Fans reacted instantly, reposting highlights on TikTok and Twitter. Within 12 hours, clips from Katie’s coaster drop and Miss Kat’s VR walkthrough garnered over half a million combined views. The excitement underscores Universal’s goal to build anticipation as the park approaches its opening date.
Looking ahead, Universal Orlando Resort has announced ticket bundles that include early entry, themed hotel stays and collectible merchandise. Interested visitors can register on Universal’s official site for priority access to presale windows.
Miss Kat and Katie Florence wrapped up their week by encouraging followers to save the date: “Summer 2025 can’t come soon enough,” they wrote in tandem posts. With more teasers expected in the coming months, fans of Universal’s sprawling resort are gearing up for a truly epic experience.
