Shawn Fonteno, best known as the voice and motion capture actor behind Franklin Clinton in Grand Theft Auto V, recently took to Instagram to share his appreciation for his landscaper of four years, G6 Designs VIC.

In his heartfelt post, Fonteno expressed deep gratitude for the landscaping professional, referring to him as a “Man of Honor” and emphasizing how fortunate he feels to have discovered G6 Designs’ page four years ago.

According to Fonteno’s post, the landscaper was initially hesitant to work in the actor’s area. “You didn’t want to come to my area at first and I kept hitting you with hopes that somehow I could persuade you to just come and look,” Fonteno wrote. His persistence eventually paid off as he continued, “finally you came and you Conquered.”

The GTA star mentioned being grateful that he didn’t choose other landscaping companies in his neighborhood, noting that “a lot of my neighbors regret dealing with the others.” Instead, he formed what he describes as a special bond with G6 Designs.

Fonteno didn’t hold back his praise, stating, “I’m here to give you your flowers,” a common expression meaning to show appreciation to someone while they can still receive it. He also referenced what seems to be a catchphrase between them, writing, “as you would tell me I GOT YO 6,” suggesting a relationship built on reliability and trust.

The post concluded with a strong recommendation to his followers: “If anyone looking to get A pool or any type of landscaping Trust me you will thank me later,” accompanied by five star emojis, indicating his complete satisfaction with the service.

For those unfamiliar with Fonteno, he rose to fame portraying Franklin Clinton in the critically acclaimed 2013 video game Grand Theft Auto V. His performance helped create one of the most memorable characters in the massive open-world game that continues to maintain popularity a decade after its release.

Fonteno, also known by his stage name Solo, is an American actor, rapper, and gamer. Before his breakout role in GTA V, he had minor acting roles and was part of the rap group Kam & Solo. His cousin, Young Maylay, voiced the protagonist CJ in an earlier GTA title, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Fonteno has been keeping busy with various appearances and events. According to his recent Instagram posts, he’s scheduled to appear at Comic Con Baltics 2025 sponsored by Samsung on May 24-25 at LITEXPO in Vilnius. The event will give fans the opportunity to meet the actor who brought Franklin Clinton to life.

He recently participated in a meet and greet event alongside Mayleeno at OG Collectibles, which he described as having a “GREAT TURNOUT.” The post featured both actors, representing the GTA characters Franklin and CJ, referring to themselves as “GROVESTREET Finest.”

Fonteno also recently appeared in a press conference after Grand Theft Auto claimed the “Dream Madness: Gaming Edition” championship. In a video shared by Dream Con, he discussed his contributions to the winning game series.

The actor’s endorsement of G6 Designs shows another side to the man behind the beloved GTA character. While fans know him for his portrayal of Franklin Clinton, this post reveals his appreciation for quality workmanship and personal relationships in his everyday life.

For fans of Fonteno or those in need of landscaping services, his enthusiastic recommendation carries the weight of someone who clearly values quality work and professional relationships that develop into genuine bonds over time.
