Comedian and actress Cocoa Brown made a nostalgic return to her educational roots this week, visiting Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) as part of the Black Alumni Weekend celebrations. Brown, who graduated from the university’s Robertson School of Communications, shared her campus visit on social media, highlighting the emotional connection to her alma mater.
In her Instagram post, Brown wrote: “Back at my Alma Mater @vcu for @vcublackalumni’s Black Alumni Weekend touring the Robertson School of Communications where I graduated from🖤💛 memories.” The image shows Brown standing in what appears to be a hallway or space within the Robertson School, smiling while visiting her former academic department.
Brown also took the opportunity to promote an upcoming comedy event during the alumni weekend, adding: “Check out the Ram Comedy Jam tomorrow at 9:30pm at Harris Hall” to her post.
