Carver’s Instagram Tribute

On June 20, actor Charlie Carver took to Instagram to close out his week at the Festival de Télévision de Monte-Carlo with a heartfelt message. Sharing four images from the ceremony, Carver thanked fans, organizers and fellow talent “for bringing the @festivaltvmonte_carlo to life.” His bilingual note read: “Thank you to everyone who brought the @festivaltvmonte_carlo to life this past week. An unforgettable experience – one for the books! / Merci à tous ceux qui ont donné vie au Festival de Télévision de Monte-Carlo cette semaine passée. Ce fut une expérience inoubliable.”

Festival Highlights

Now in its 63rd year, the Monte-Carlo Television Festival ran from June 16–20 along Monaco’s glittering coastline, drawing industry leaders from over 50 countries. Official figures show the event welcomed more than 10,000 attendees, 400 accredited journalists and 300 industry delegates to talks, pitch sessions and networking breakfasts. Highlights included the opening gala at the Grimaldi Forum, daily screenings of upcoming drama and comedy series, and masterclasses on international co-productions.

Carver was spotted among packed audiences for new series premieres and invited to present the Golden Nymph Award for Best Comedy Short. He also joined a roundtable on “Global Collaborations in Streaming,” where writers and showrunners discussed cross-border storytelling best practices. Off the main forum, the festival hosted star-studded yacht soirées and charity screenings benefiting TV heritage causes. The week culminated in the Golden Nymph Awards, where France’s official TV prizes were handed out under orange sunset skies. In his final post, Carver appeared in a custom navy tuxedo on the red carpet, his mirrored aviators reflecting Monaco’s harbor lights.

Connecting Past Projects

Carver, 35, first broke out opposite his twin brother Max in MTV’s Teen Wolf. Since then he has tackled memorable roles on Desperate Housewives, HBO’s The White Lotus and Ryan Murphy’s The Boys in the Band. Earlier this spring, Carver celebrated The White Lotus finale with a “Perfectly chaotic CHAOS DINNER” alongside co-stars and executive producers (https://www.instagram.com/p/DIICNSdSXET/). That post underscored his gratitude for the creative team and his love of ensemble storytelling. He also recently thanked the sitcom Midcentury on Hulu for “the LOLs” and congratulated its cast and crew ahead of its March premiere (https://www.instagram.com/p/DHrUzRey60o/).

Looking Ahead

Following Monte-Carlo, Carver is set to star in the upcoming drama Midcentury, playing an architect navigating postwar Los Angeles power struggles—a role he first teased on Instagram this spring. He is also lending his voice to Penguin Random House Audio’s release of I Make Envy on Your Disco, marking his debut as an audiobook narrator. Off camera, Carver and his twin brother have partnered with industry groups to launch scholarships for emerging TV talent, reflecting their advocacy for greater diversity on screen.

Fans who followed his festival posts caught a glimpse of Carver’s journey from regional theater newcomer to an Emmy-nominated actor. By thanking attendees in both English and French, he reminded his global following why the Monte-Carlo Television Festival remains a key meeting point: a place to workshop ideas, forge creative partnerships and celebrate series that travel across borders and genres.
