Family Celebration In Nyc

The Instagram post features Busta Rhymes—born Trevor Smith Jr.—beaming at a warmly lit restaurant table. Flanked by T’Khi, T’ziah (Instagram handle @whoistziah), Cie (@heyimcie), Trillian (@originaltrillian), Rai (@rai.is.rad) and Sacario (@sacario_lope), the rapper raises a glass in a toast that underscores his pride in fatherhood. Though only four of his six youngsters handled the surprise dinner, he made sure to mention every name in his caption, calling them “my young kings and young queen.”

A Glimpse Inside The Dinner

Photos show the group gathered around a sleek wooden table laden with salads, entrées and desserts. In one frame, Busta sports a crisp white shirt and a warm smile while his children lean in, laughter caught mid-shot. Another image captures the family linking arms across the table, a testament to their tight bond and a moment he called “one of my happiest days ever.”

A Legacy Of Love

In his jubilant post, Rhymes wrote that nothing tops having “your legacy, your young kings and young queen pour into you with so much love and so much blessed energy.” The New York–born artist, known for chart-topping hits like “Woo Hah!! Got You All in Check” and albums such as The Coming (1996) and E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event) (1998), has six children from two marriages. This year’s dinner marks a personal high after he shared a more conventional birthday shout-out back in 2022, when he simply captioned another Instagram photo “Happy Birthday to #BustaRhymes 🔥🎂 @bustarhymes.”

More Birthday Cheers

Fellow artists and fans flooded the comments with birthday wishes. Pharrell and Snoop Dogg have both received similar tributes from Busta in the past—most notably when he saluted Pharrell as “one of my greatest inspirations” on his own birthday and congratulated Snoop on his #IZITACRIME album earlier this year. Rhymes’s social feed often doubles as a gratitude journal, with posts dedicated to nieces, nephews and creative collaborators under the rallying cry: “THE BLESSINGS DON’T STOP SO WE WON’T EVER STOP.”

Who Is Busta Rhymes?

Trevor Smith Jr., professionally known as Busta Rhymes, emerged in the early ’90s as a member of the Flipmode Squad before launching a solo career. Over three decades, he’s built a reputation for rapid-fire delivery, theatrical videos and collaborations with Missy Elliott, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson and many more. Beyond music, he’s acted in films like Higher Learning (1995) and Halloween: Resurrection (2002), and remains a cultural touchstone for multiple generations.

As Busta Rhymes closes another chapter, the images and message from his children stand out as his proudest achievement. Surrounded by family, the rapper reminded fans that while studio records and stage lights define his public life, it’s these private moments that fuel his purpose and keep the blessings coming.
