Family On Fringe: Globe Week Adventures

Cabral’s Instagram caption set the tone: “The whole fam came to The Old Globe and we had a time!!! @legolandcalifornia, seals at La Jolla beach, museums, pool time, movies & the @sandiegozoo, alllllll the things!! ❤️🐘🦒🍦🦭 … Having everyone here truly filled my cup.” In the final slide, she laughed that her son Alden “truly lived his best life at every restaurant.”

The post dovetails with an earlier update from the actress’s handle: “2nd full week of shows at @theoldglobe … We are here til June 22, link for tickets in bio!!!” It’s a clear invitation for fans of her work to catch her in this San Diego run before it closes later this month.

Local Attractions Steal The Spotlight

Between matinees and evening performances, Cabral’s brood dove into Southern California classics. The family hit Legoland California for roller-coaster thrills, then drove south to La Jolla Cove to watch playful seals sunbathe on the rocks. One snap shows the kids grinning next to a tide pool brimful of sea life.

Museum days blended art, history and hands-on science exhibits—ideal for Cabral’s two children, daughter Addie and son Alden. When they needed to cool off, pool time at a neighborhood hotel turned into an impromptu water-slide session, complete with floaties and deep-dish ice cream cones.

Alden’s Restaurant Tour

For Alden, every meal was an adventure. Cabral’s caption nods to “every restaurant” scoring the little guy’s seal of approval. From seaside seafood shacks to downtown taco stands, he sampled fish ’n’ chips, beef barbacoa and his mother’s favorite avocado toast.

Cabral later reposted photos from local food bloggers who joined the family for an informal taste test. One stomach-rumbling video shows Alden declaring a waffle cone—topped with sprinkles and chocolate sauce—“the best thing ever!”

Stage And Offstage: Balancing Act

Angelique Cabral is no stranger to juggling mother-hood and a heavy performance schedule. According to her Wikipedia profile, she studied musical theatre in college and built her early career in New York before landing TV roles on Better Things, Life in Pieces and Gotham.

Her Old Globe engagement has been especially personal. In a May post she wrote about opening night: “This scared me, has tested me and forced me to show up in ways I didn’t know I could. ‘San Diego Ang/theater Ang’ is wild and having the time of her life.” Community support poured in from fellow Latinos and longtime fans.
