Stephen Amell has announced a new episode of the legal drama spinoff Suits LA on his Instagram account. “We’ve got an all new episode of Suits LA tonight. Making our guests feel welcome is important to me,” Amell wrote in his Instagram post.

The accompanying video shows the actor addressing the viewers, giving them a behind-the-scenes update of him being in the green room, rehearsing lines for Season 1. As he moves the camera angle asking someone if they need help with their lines, we see actor Gabriel Macht, who played Harvey Spectar in the original Suits series, relaxing by the window. This fun sneak peek into what’s in store for the new spin-off has fans excited for the episodes.

Suits LA Continues Its First Season Run

The NBC legal drama spinoff, which premiered on February 23, 2025, has been steadily building its audience since its debut. Amell stars as Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York who has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles.

Amell’s character is involved in navigating high-stakes legal battles while managing relationships with influential clients in the entertainment capital. He must balance professional obligations with personal connections, making the welcoming atmosphere he mentions particularly relevant to the show’s themes.

Amell’s Journey From Arrow To Legal Drama

Stephen Amell rose to prominence playing Oliver Queen/Green Arrow in The CW’s Arrow from 2012 to 2020. The Canadian actor’s portrayal of the DC Comics superhero launched what became known as the Arrowverse, a shared universe of interconnected superhero television series.

Following the conclusion of Arrow, Amell starred in the wrestling drama Heels on Starz before landing his current role in Suits LA. His transition from superhero action to legal drama showcases his versatility as an actor tackling different genres.

Recently, Amell has been sharing glimpses of his experience working on the Suits spinoff. In a previous notable post, he had revealed a meeting with Gabriel Macht. “We premiered Suits LA last night. Met @iamgabrielmacht for the first time. Very cool move of him to be there,” Amell wrote, adding mysteriously, “What did we discuss? None of your business.”

This connection between the original series and its spinoff has delighted fans, as they can expect new dynamics and elements from the original storyline.

Suits Legacy And Spin-Off Development

The original Suits, created by Aaron Korsh, ran for nine seasons from 2011 to 2019 on USA Network. The series, which starred Macht alongside Patrick J. Adams, Meghan Markle (before her royal marriage), and others, gained renewed popularity when it began streaming on Netflix in 2023.

This streaming success helped pave the way for NBC to greenlight the Los Angeles-based spinoff. Suits LA maintains the sleek, high-stakes legal world of its predecessor while establishing its own identity in the entertainment capital of the world.

As Suits LA continues its first season run, Amell’s dedication to creating a welcoming environment for guest stars and maintaining connections with the broader Suits universe suggests the spinoff is building not just a show, but a community around the extended franchise.

Fans of legal dramas, the original Suits, or Amell’s previous work can catch the new episode of Suits LA on NBC, with episodes also available for streaming on Peacock after they air.
