Jeremy Renner has given fans a glimpse of his finished memoir “My Next Breath” just one week before its official release. The Oscar-nominated actor took to Instagram to share his excitement about the upcoming book that documents his recovery journey following his near-fatal snowplow accident in January 2023.

In his latest post, Renner showcased the physical copy of his memoir, which features a close-up portrait of the actor on its cover. “Just one more week until MY NEXT BREATH is on sale – I love how the finished book looks and I can’t wait for you all to read it,” Renner wrote, encouraging followers to preorder their copies through the link in his bio.

“My Next Breath” chronicles Renner’s extraordinary recovery journey after a life-threatening accident on New Year’s Day 2023, when he was crushed by his 14,000-pound snowplow while helping a family member near his Nevada home. The actor suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries, breaking more than 30 bones and requiring multiple surgeries.

In previous posts promoting the book, Renner has described it as “an intimate narrative, detailing all things that transpired during the incident, the love, the loss, the recovery and the wonderful lessons and confirmations of life and beyond.” The title itself references what became his mantra during recovery—focusing simply on taking his next breath.

Earlier this month, the actor shared a touching video of his daughter Ava’s first look at the book, captioning it with the poignant line: “I asked her to wait for me… and she did.” This reference speaks to the critical moments after his accident when survival was uncertain.

As part of the book’s release, Renner has announced several in-person events. He recently updated fans about appearances in New York, Pittsburgh, and a newly added stop in London. “I’ll be onstage talking about My Next Breath. Tickets are available at the link in bio—each one includes a copy of the book,” he shared in a promotional post.

The timing of the book release coincides with Renner’s return to work. The actor is currently filming Season 4 of his Paramount+ series “Mayor of Kingstown” in Pittsburgh, marking his full professional comeback after the extensive recovery period.

Throughout his recovery journey documented on social media, Renner has frequently shared profound reflections on his experience. In a recent Instagram post, he wrote: “In death, I’ve concluded that life should be oversimplified—made magical, filled with curiosity and wonderment fueled by the unmitigated power of LOVE, as love is the DNA of the spirit and the only thing that continues eternally.”

These philosophical musings appear to form the emotional core of his memoir, suggesting the book will go beyond the physical recovery to explore deeper existential revelations that came from his brush with death.

The actor’s remarkable comeback journey has been closely followed by fans and the entertainment industry alike. From using a cane at his first public appearance last April to walking unassisted by November, his determination has been evident.

For fans, this memoir promises to be a deeply personal account of resilience, gratitude, and the perspective that comes from facing mortality—told by a Hollywood actor who has literally had to fight for his next breath.
