Christian Navarro, best known for his role as Tony Padilla in the Netflix series “13 Reasons Why,” is set to appear in a new mystery podcast series titled “Alma.” The actor recently took to Instagram to announce the upcoming release, which is scheduled to premiere on April 29th.

The Mystery Of Alma Awaits

According to Navarro’s post, “Alma” follows four villagers as they attempt to save their town and its residents from a mysterious curse. The series will be available on YouTube under the Tales Unrolled channel and on all major podcast platforms.

“🌙⛰️ In just one week, join four villagers as they try to save their town – and the people they love that live there – from a mysterious curse,” Navarro shared in his Instagram caption, adding, “We can’t wait to welcome you to Alma…🌅”

The promotional image for the podcast shows what appears to be a moody, atmospheric scene with mountains and moonlight, setting the tone for the supernatural mystery that will unfold in the series.

Tales Unrolled: A Latine-Led TTRPG Project

“Alma” is part of a larger project called Tales Unrolled, which Navarro has been promoting as a “Latine Love Letter to TTRPG” (Tabletop Role-Playing Games). In previous posts, the actor has described the project as celebrating Latine culture and community within the gaming space.

In a recent Instagram post, Navarro revealed that Tales Unrolled had released a special preview, sharing the first two minutes of the series’ first episode, titled “Alma: The First Remembering.” The anticipation has been building as the release date approaches.

“Since we literally cannot wait to share Alma with you, we’re releasing a special preview of the first 2 minutes of our first episode,” he wrote in the preview announcement.

Meet The Characters

Another recent post from the Tales Unrolled account introduced viewers to the characters who will be at the center of Alma’s story. While specific character details weren’t provided, Navarro appears to be part of what he has playfully called “The Latin Avengers of Actual Play” – suggesting a diverse cast of Latine performers bringing these characters to life.

In a behind-the-scenes glimpse, Navarro shared footage from what he described as “Day 1 with The Latin Avengers of Actual Play,” showing the cast’s enthusiasm for the project.

Christian Navarro’s Gaming Ventures

This isn’t Navarro’s first venture into the world of gaming and podcasts. The actor has been expanding his presence in the TTRPG community, recently celebrating his involvement with another gaming project called “Into the Mist.” According to posts on his Instagram, Navarro joined that project after fans helped unlock a stretch goal during their crowdfunding campaign.

“Thanks to your support, @christianleenavarro will be joining us as a new character for season 6!” announced the Into the Mist team when they reached their $15,000 stretch goal.

Navarro has also been appearing in another podcast series called “The Set Up,” where he plays a character named Fernando who is involved in what appears to be a con family business while navigating a potential romance. “Will Fernando finally leave his con family business in the name of love?!” teased one of his recent posts about the show.

From ’13 Reasons Why’ To New Creative Ventures

Christian Navarro rose to fame with his role as Tony Padilla in the controversial but popular Netflix series “13 Reasons Why,” which ran from 2017 to 2020. According to his Wikipedia page, the American actor was born on August 21, 1991, and has appeared in other productions including “Vinyl,” “The Tick,” and “Bushwick.”

Since the conclusion of “13 Reasons Why,” Navarro has diversified his creative portfolio, embracing gaming culture and audio storytelling through these podcast ventures.

As the April 29th release date for “Alma” approaches, fans of Navarro and tabletop gaming enthusiasts alike are encouraged to tune in to discover how four villagers will confront the mysterious curse threatening their town and loved ones.
